Every guide on Elevate Home passes through one desk before it reaches you: Kaizen's.
Kaizen is the editor behind Elevate Home Guide — the name accountable for what this site publishes. That means every battery-backup, EV-charging, and aging-in-place guide is researched, fact-checked, and held to a single standard: would this hold up for a homeowner spending real money?
How Kaizen works
- Manufacturer documentation first. Specifications, capacities, and compatibility are checked against manufacturer docs and current building codes — never copied from other roundups.
- Real cost ranges. Prices are compiled from published manufacturer pricing and installer rate data, and always shown as ranges — never a single national price presented as fact.
- No invented claims. If a figure can't be verified, it doesn't ship. Elevate Home researches products from documentation and verified owner reviews; we don't claim hands-on testing we haven't done.
- Picks earn their place. When a guide names a product, it's because the research supports it for that job. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on the page, and they never change a recommendation.
Editorial standards
Accuracy first. No copied content. No hype. If we state a fact, we stand behind it — and if we get something wrong, we fix it, with a dated note on significant changes. That's what having a named editor is for. The full methodology is on our editorial standards page.
Why a named editor matters
Advice about five-figure home upgrades deserves accountability. There's a name attached to every recommendation on this site, and that name answers for it.
